A fantastic resource for anyone trying to tell stories in a visual medium. The focus may be comics (and if you weren’t interested before I dare you to stay that way after reading this), but the principles can be applied to virtually any storytelling medium, particularly the visual.

More than a few parralels with my own creative and health struggles, I couldn’t help but get sucked into Murakami’s annecdotes about various races and periods in his life. There are no earth shattering revelations, but the accumulation of experience and information, and the single minded purpose behind his writing pulls out some pretty compelling ideas. Inspiring on a bunch of levels, and a short read to boot. (thanks again Skurup library)
